“How would you summarize what it is that makes Howard Properties unique in the Real Estate Field?
Well, I’m a one-man band, and that does make it unique. So many of the large firms today work in teams, and you’ve got multiple people of multiple different experience levels working on a deal. I feel it’s very important for me to understand every aspect of each deal. And I really don’t know how people work in teams successfully on the same transaction.
The fun to me is not only making the relationship, but really, really pressing the client. And I’ve got to give them time to do this. It doesn’t happen overnight to think about their business, to think about where it’s going to go, to think about what the next seven or five or ten years are going to look like, so that we can really make intelligent decisions and plan for the future. When we go out and, you know, get a brick and mortar space for them, that it’s going to cost a lot of money for the landlord to build and a lot of money for my client to pay in rent.”
