Howard E. Greenberg, SIOR, President of Howard Properties, Ltd., White Plains, New York, has announced that his firm has won the “Lease of the Year” award given by NAIOP Connecticut and Suburban New York.

The award is for the lease of 125,000 SF by the law firm Wilson Elser at 1133 Westchester Avenue in White Plains.  Mr. Greenberg represented the tenant in the transaction, which was the largest office lease of the year in Westchester County.

NAIOP is the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, the leading organization for developers, owners and investors in office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate. NAIOP comprises more than 15,000 members and provides advocacy, education, and business opportunities through its North American network.

1133 Westchester Avenue is a 620,000 square foot building, owned by the RPW Group, headquartered in Rye Brook, New York.  Its major tenants include EMC, IBM, ITT, The Journal News, Wachovia Securities, and The Westchester County Association.  The building features a complete amenities package, including 24/7 Security, a Full-Service Cafeteria, Executive Dining Room, Fitness Center, Conference Center, Child Care Center, Beauty Salon, and Car Wash.
