Howard E. Greenberg, SIOR, President of Howard Properties, Ltd. reported that his firm has represented Trans-Ocean Import Co., Inc. in a relocation from White Plains to Port Chester, New York. The company leased 3,569 square feet of space at 10 Midland Ave., which is owned by Benerofe Properties.
Mr. Greenberg represented the tenant in the transaction. “Howard did an excellent job for Trans-Ocean” said Charles Peck, President and CEO. “We have been located in White Plains since 1992. Our lease was coming up for renewal, and we were going to relocate within our building. We have a very high parking requirement, and the costs for parking were going up significantly. But it was still important for us to be located within walking distance of a Metro-North station. Howard educated us on the market and negotiated a very cost-effective deal for us. Overall, we saved 50% on our occupancy cost versus staying in White Plains. We highly recommend Howard as a tenant representative.”
