Howard E. Greenberg, President of Howard Properties, Ltd., White Plains, New York, has announced that his firm has represented the law firm of Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP in a 31, 687 SF lease in Valhalla, New York. This is the largest lease transaction of 2010 to date in Westchester County.

The lease involved the extension of the firm’s existing 24,743 SF lease, as well as an expansion of 6,944 SF at 200 Summit Lake Drive, a part of The Summit at Valhalla office park owned by the Reckson division of S.L. Green. This publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust is the largest owner of commercial property in Manhattan, and owns a total of 71 office and retail properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey.

This represents the 17th transaction in which Mr. Greenberg has represented Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan, including a 48,000 SF lease in New York City, and branch offices in Garden City, New York; Parsippany, New Jersey, and Calabasas, California. The firm is one of the largest tenants at the 750,000 SF Summit complex.

“We have enjoyed significant growth since relocating to The Summit in 2000, said Managing Partner Wayne Borgeest, Esq., and Howard Greenberg has always kept us ahead of the curve in obtaining the space we needed. Once again, he has crafted an innovative transaction for us that enabled our firm to take advantage of current market conditions to secure much-needed expansion space and to extend our lease well into the future.”
