Howard E. Greenberg, SIOR, President of Howard Properties, Ltd. has announced that his firm has represented Fortistar Capital, Inc. in the negotiation of a lease for 18,266 SF for its headquarters at The Gateway Building, 1 No. Lexington Ave., White Plains, New York.

Fortistar will relocate from its present premises on the 5th and 6th floors to its new and expanded space on the 14th floor of the building.

Fortistar has a 25 year history of investing in and managing power assets. The company currently has ownership stakes in over 60 projects in North America with total generation capacity of 3,000 megawatts.

Fortistar also has a growing renewable business which currently focuses on the landfill gas and biomass sectors. These portfolios have a total capacity of about 400 Megawatts. Fortistar has a strong record of operational excellence and demonstrated capability of enhancing output and improving efficiency at its other facilities.

Fortistar’s projects extend from one coast to another in the US and Canada, offering new standards of results in delivering clean, renewable energy. From methane landfill gas to cogeneration to biomass energy, Fortistar projects deliver clean energy from 58 projects to 40 communities in 15 states and 2 countries.

Howard E. Greenberg, SIOR, represented the tenant in the transaction.  Mr. Greenberg established his relationship with Fortistar when it relocated to White Plains in 1994, and he has previously represented Fortistar multiple expansion and renewal transactions.
